The Mara Plains Camp is an intimate luxury 7-roomed tent in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, which is itself one of the least visited parts of the Mara’s savannah, so you will assured of enjoying the beauty of the landscape and its wildlife while being far from the madding crowds. The conservancy hosts one of the highest densities of lions in Africa.

The camp consists of decked octagonal canvas rooms, each ensuite (with a flush toilet and shower) and with a dressing area and a private verandah. The dining is exquisite, and complementary refreshments and snacks are served on all the game drives including “sundowner” cocktails. Bush breakfasts & lunches are also on the menu.
Guests can chose from early morning, late afternoon and night game drives, as well as guided bush walks, and cultural & village visits.

The Olare Motorogi Conservancy was established in 2006 and is managed by the Masaai communities in order to combine wildlife tourism and sustainable grazing. The Mara Plains Camp pays a monthly rental to the Conservancy, and minimises its environmental footprint: the camp relies on solar power for electricty and heated water, and all inorganic waste is returned to Nairobi for recycling, and organic wastes are treated onsite.
