Olonana tented camp is situated on the banks of the Mara River, on a private concession bordering the Maasai Mara Reserve – in the heart of Big Game country. But in addition to game viewing guests are offered a rare glimpse of the day-to-day lives of the Maasai people in the adjacent Maasai village or ‘engang’. No other lodge in the Mara offers such a close cultural experience with the Maasai.
Olonana features 14 spacious permanent tents, each with two queen-size beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, and large river-view verandahs (the hippos really will be just below on the river banks).
The main dining area also overlooks the river. Dining choices are much wider: bush breakfasts and lunches, plus bush dinners. And of course, sundowners.

The camp is easily accessible, being about 15 minutes drive from Kitchwa Tembo Airstrip, and a 45 minute flight from Nairobi on scheduled or private charter flights.
