Hidden among the rocky outcrops or kopjes of the Serengeti plains, the camp exudes a sense of the ‘old Africa’ safari. The Serengeti Migration is synonymous with low impact – high action game viewing in an untouched landscape.
Richly furnished throughout, the Serengeti Migration Camp provides a haven of indulgence among the raw splendor of the surrounding bush. The Camp provides daytime games drives (and of course it is in the perefect spot for the annual migration) and can arrange ballon safaris too.
The lodge has twenty spacious tents on wooden decks with either king or twin beds with en-suite toilets and showers (solar-generated hot water) . Each is surrounded by a verandah with rocking chairs, overlooking the Grumeti River and its resident hippos. The main area of the lodge – lounge, cigar bar, restaurant, sundecks – is very comfortable with large leather chairs and views onto the Serengeti. WiFi available in main lounge area for those who cannot quite switch off.There is a swimming pool and the lodge is child friendly.
The Camp is accessed either by road from Arusha or Kilimanjaro, or by air from Arusha to Manyara airstrip.
